The Ifbaflex is a Voigtlander VSL-1 rebadged for the French market of which no more than 2000 copies would have been produced and how many are left today? Surely very little... What can be said is that it is one of the last devices Rollei manufactured in Germany before the factories were relocated to Singapore. So beyond its true qualities as a camera, it is also a true collector's item with a high-quality finish. M42 mount, ultra bright viewfinder, dual section stigmometer for ultra precise focusing, aperture display in viewfinder, cell, 100% mechanical operation battery only used to power cell, 100% heavy and strong metal housing. In short a real photographer's case and not just a showcase, it is far too underestimated to my taste. It is sturdy and reliable with purely mechanical operation as more is done. So even without a battery it won't let go of you on your travels. Ah yes...I was going to forget the famous Ifbagon 50mm F1.8 lens, highly sought after as rare as the body itself. This is a copy of the Planar 50/1.8 and Color Ultron 50/1.8, its reputation is well established, sharpness and creamy bokeh are there for you.

100% clear lenses, some micro scratches and a micro spot on the front coating. Photos and videos are an integral part of the description.

• • Mechanical:  6/10 😏

    the case is in correct working condition, the speeds are just right except for the 1/2 second which remains open (see video). The sight is clear with the presence of particles, the stigmometer clearly legible as well as the opening window. My battery testing did not allow me to get the airframe back on track however it is always best to use a quality handheld cell. Missing the small plastic window on the prism. Strap holders have been filed.
